Description

Juan C. Abril, M.D., is a pulmonologist with Johns Hopkins Medicine Pulmonology. Dr. Abril has a special interest in Sleep Disordered Breathing, Interstitial Lung Disease, Pulmonary Hypertension, Sarcoidosis, Pleural Diseases and Asthma. Dr. Abril received his medical degree from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, in Bogota, Colombia, graduating in 2002. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. He completed his Fellowships in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine at The George Washington University.  He has co-authored articles on mechanical ventilation and has participated in research in non-invasive positive pressure ventilation, chest ultrasound, and granulomatous lung diseases.
